Up until the start of COVID in 2020, I chased/lived what most consider the "American dream." Straight out of high school, I went for my B.F.A. in Graphic Design, got an art teaching job in an interesting turn of events, then went on to obtain a M.A.T. in Secondary Visual Arts. For 8 years, I had a secure salary, summers off, and a nice benefit package.
Then I quit.
So did my husband (who was also a teacher).
As we taught our high school students virtually as COVID spread across the nation, we began to reevaluate our priorities.
We decided that we both want our days filled with more family, hobbies, enjoyment, and freedom. I loved teaching, but it was still corporate America.

I love hibachi food, plants, gemstones, traveling, all things whimsical, and lists:
- I have an Etsy Shop with all kinds of goodies. - I host an online book/art club called Book & Easel - I married my high school sweetheart. - We have two daughters. Fallon is our Heavenly baby, and Adelaide is our Earthly baby.
